Through baptisms, we’ve helped people share their stories of how following Jesus made their life better and made them better at life. We’d love to help you experience baptism for yourself and allow God to use your faith story to impact other people.

FAQ

WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Jesus was baptized. Since then, millions of his followers have followed his example. Baptism is a way for you to do the same and participate in a common experience with Jesus followers around the world. Baptism is a way to go public with your faith to show others that you have started a personal relationship with Jesus. Baptism is not necessary for salvation. It symbolizes the new life you began when you started following Jesus. It symbolizes your old life dying (going under the water) and your new life (coming out of the water).


DO I HAVE TO RECORD A TESTIMONY VIDEO?
Baptism is meant to be a public profession, and it is an incredible opportunity to share God’s message of redemption with hundreds of people. We have witnessed the life-changing effect these videos have had on people’s lives. Another important reason we do a video is that we as a congregation grow in our faith by watching these stories. It allows friends, family, and even those you don’t know to celebrate the amazing transformation Christ has worked in your life. Some people are nervous about filming their stories, but we work hard to make the process both simple and fulfilling. After your filming date is scheduled, you will receive emails with guidelines and information to help you prepare for your testimony filming. Pre-recording allows you to do as many takes as necessary while sharing the message you have thoughtfully and prayerfully prepared ahead of time. We want baptism to be a meaningful and celebratory experience, and we look forward to walking through it with you!

IS YOUR CHILD INTERESTED IN BAPTISM?

If you have a child 6th grade and younger, we want to encourage you to reach out to our Children’s Pastor, Angela Marshall. Our Crossway Kids have quarterly events called We Believe – an opportunity for parents and kids to hear about how to grow in their relationship with Christ, as well as the salvation message. Check our Events for the next opportunity to join in or request a one-on-one meeting to go over the content in person! If you have a 7th through 12th grader, our Student Pastor, Chandler Jackson, would love to sit down and chat with your student about their walk with Christ.
