Baptism is a unique opportunity to tell others about your faith in Jesus. Through baptisms, we’ve helped people share their stories of how following Jesus made their life better and made them better at life. We’d love to help you experience baptism for yourself and allow God to use your faith story to impact other people.

FAQ

WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Jesus was baptized. Since then, millions of his followers have followed his example. Baptism is a way for you to do the same and participate in a common experience with Jesus followers around the world. Baptism is a way to go public with your faith to show others that you have started a personal relationship with Jesus. Baptism is not necessary for salvation. It symbolizes the new life you began when you started following Jesus. It symbolizes your old life dying (going under the water) and your new life (coming out of the water).

IS YOUR CHILD INTERESTED IN BAPTISM?

If you have a child 6th grade and younger, we want to encourage you to reach out to our Children’s Pastor, Angela Marshall. Our Crossway Kids have quarterly events called We Believe – an opportunity for parents and kids to hear about how to grow in their relationship with Christ, as well as the salvation message. Check our Events for the next opportunity to join in or request a one-on-one meeting to go over the content in person! If you have a 7th through 12th grader, our Student Pastor, Chandler Jackson, would love to sit down and chat with your student about their walk with Christ.


I'VE NOTICED PEOPLE WEAR A "SAVED" SHIRTS ON BAPTISM SUNDAYS. HOW CAN I GET ONE?

In 2025, we started a tradition at Crossway of wearing “Saved” shirts on Baptism Sundays. Baptism is a celebration of new life in Jesus, and these shirts are a simple way for our church family to visibly celebrate together. It’s a reminder that we’re one big family, rejoicing alongside those taking their next step of faith.
